 One
cold winter day, Mike, two other guitar players and a drummer, together
in a paneled basement deep in Scarborough were trying to form a
band. Mike drew the shortest straw and put down his guitar and picked
up the Bass at age 14 and hasn't looked back. After many hours in
the basement and the occasional live performance during High School,
he left for University and after three years felt it was time to
get back into a Band. He spent the next two years playing Classic
and Southern Rock songs in a Toronto based act in and around Southern
Ontario. During this time over a couple of Heineken's at a sound
check he landed a job working at Steve's Music Store and was quickly
introduced to the concept of writing and playing original music.
From 1991 to 2000 Mike played toured and recorded with various Original
Acts. Tired and not sure where to go from there, he took a few years
off gigging to spend time Kayaking, getting married, and walking
the dog.
